Anthropic has successfully closed a $30 billion capital raise, establishing a new valuation of $380 billion. This marks a dramatic increase from the $183 billion valuation the company commanded during its September funding round.
The massive investment was led by GIC and Coatue Management, with the transaction ranking among the largest private fundraising deals on record. Choo Yong Cheen of GIC described Anthropic as the clear category leader in enterprise AI.
The company reports annualized revenue of $14 billion, having grown revenue tenfold year-over-year for three straight years. This consistent expansion demonstrates both technological excellence and effective market execution.
Claude Code, which launched for general availability in May 2025, has significantly boosted revenue streams. This AI coding tool has found strong adoption among businesses seeking to leverage artificial intelligence for software development.
Despite high operational costs, Anthropic forecasts improved financial efficiency. The company expects cash burn to decline to approximately one-third of revenue in 2026 and just 9% by 2027, with a profitability target of 2028.
