Quantoz Payments B.V. has unveiled a new Embedded Payment Services platform, which provides a modular API-based solution for fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers. This new offering allows these businesses to seamlessly integrate regulated digital money, accounts, wallets, payments, and compliance capabilities into their products. Potje, a Dutch app designed for group savings, is the first company to utilize this platform, enabling friends, families, and colleagues to save collectively towards common goals.
The introduction of this service marks a significant expansion for Quantoz Payments, moving beyond their existing regulated e-money tokens. The newly launched platform delivers APIs and infrastructure intended to make the creation of payment and settlement solutions across European markets more straightforward. By leveraging this service, businesses can incorporate selected payment components while minimizing the complexities traditionally associated with licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure.
Quantoz’s Embedded Payment Services, built on blockchain-native technology, offer a flexible, scalable solution where partners can integrate various components tailored to their needs. Key features include accounts and digital wallets, inbound and outbound payments and collections, Pay by Bank functionality, and comprehensive fraud, risk, and compliance processes.
In collaboration with Quantoz, Potje has become the first partner to launch on the platform. This integration allows Potje users to securely store funds with Quantoz Payments, which operates under the oversight of the Dutch Central Bank. Users can easily add funds using a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service, enjoy instantaneous payouts, and maintain flexibility with withdrawals. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, emphasized that the partnership aims to simplify and secure group saving processes, supporting the company’s vision of becoming a group money account for friends across Europe.
Arjen van Klaarbergen, Chief Legal Officer of Quantoz Payments, highlighted that the new service equips fintechs and platforms with the necessary regulated digital-money infrastructure, eliminating the need for them to independently build their compliance, safeguarding, and payment operations. Operating under its pre-existing regulatory framework, Quantoz Payments holds a license as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, with funds managed in compliance with European regulatory standards. The Embedded Payment Services are available to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers within the European Economic Area (EEA).
