The Netherlands has issued yellow weather warnings for the provinces of Limburg, Zeeland, and South Holland as Storm Austen approaches. The storm is expected to bring wind gusts of at least 75 kilometers per hour, particularly affecting southwestern areas and the hills of Limburg on Friday evening before spreading throughout the country overnight.
Coastal areas may experience particularly strong gusts as the storm progresses. The weather is forecast to improve slightly on Saturday, with fewer showers and occasional sunshine, although heavy rain and stronger winds are predicted to return by the evening.
On Sunday, strong winds are expected to persist, especially in northern regions where showers are also anticipated. Meanwhile, southern areas of the Netherlands may experience more sunshine. Throughout the weekend, temperatures are forecast to remain cool, not exceeding 13°C.
