Israel Agrees to End Military Campaign Under Proposed Deal

by admin477351

The Israeli government has agreed to end its military campaign in Gaza, provided the terms of a U.S.-brokered deal are met. A senior official confirmed Israel’s acceptance of the proposal, which would see a permanent ceasefire in exchange for the release of all hostages and the disarmament of Hamas.
This announcement marks a potential end-point for the extensive military operations that have been ongoing for months. It indicates that the Israeli leadership sees a diplomatic path to achieving its objectives that could preclude the need for further large-scale combat.
The deal requires a complete cessation of hostilities and a withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. This major concession is offered in return for the fulfillment of Israel’s two most critical demands: the freedom of its citizens and the removal of Hamas as a military threat.
With Israel having agreed to end its campaign under these conditions, the decision to continue or end the war is now effectively in the hands of Hamas. Their response to the disarmament clause will be the determining factor.
